The A Grade Grand Final between Wycheproof Narraport and Charlton played at Wycheproof
Wyche Narraport Captain Matt Nicholls won the toss and batted and were all out for 247,
Johno Grylls 55, Jackson Keane 74, James Allan 28, Ashly Durie 24 no, Ricky Allan 19.
Bowling- K Boyle 5/45, A Walklate 2/40, D Thieze 1/68, B Gretgrix 1/21.
In reply Charlton were all out for 225, Kirk Boyle 74 no, D Thieze 32, B Gretgrix 30, A Judd 27.
Bowling- Matt Nicholls 5/41, Rick Allan 4/81, Ashley Durie 1/19.
Batting in the second innings Wyche Narraport were 1/28 at atumps Johno Grylls 6, Matt Nicholls 18 no
Boe Bish 2 no.
Day 3 did not start well  for the batting side with 3 wickets gone quickly, Then  Jacko Keane 82 & Rick  Allan 84
with an unbroken 177 run partnership were the match winners, the game finished just before tea.

FINALS TIME

A Grade to play in the Grand Final. Playing St Mary's at Birchip, St Marys batting first were all out for 98, A Ross 22, A Schulz 14, T Germono 14.
Bowling- Shane Harrison 2/22, Matt Nicholls 4/25 including a hat trick, Dean Rooney 1/21, Rick Allan 2/16, Jackson Keane 1/6.
In reply WycheNarraport made 136, Rick Allan 56, Ash Durie 19, Matt Nicholls 13, Johno Grylls 11, Peter Coles 11.
In the 2nd innings St Mary's were all out for 22. Bowling- Matt Nicholls 5/6, Shane Harrison 5/15.
The Grand Final will be played at Wycheproof  weather permitting.

The B Grade were defeated on the last ball of the day, Playing A.N.A. Boolite at Hopetoun.
Batting first WycheNarraport were all out for 112. John Durie 34, Dennis Baker 23, Brian Allan 13.
In reply A.N.A.Boolite made 9/115. B Clarke 26, T Allen 20, B Leith 18,
Bowling- John Durie 2/16, Trevor Rumbold 2/20, Tom Lord 2/4, Eddie McNicol 1/27.

The Wycheproof Narraport Warriors were the first junior side to play in a grand final in the 9 years the junior competition has been going, Batting first the Warriors made 150 and kept the Donald side to 87 so going through the season undefeated. Details and photos in junior scoreboard.

A GROUND 14- 21st 28th FEB. B GRADE ROUND 16 & 17

The Juniors started the day well with a win, They now play in the Grand Final on Sunday 1st March at Donald & have yet to be beaten this season. Good Luck.
The A Grade playing Rich Avon Services, Batted first and were all out for 159, James Allan top scoring with 47, in reply Rich Avon were 1/44 at stumps.
On day 2 Rich Avon ended up 6/278, Lauchie Jones 111 not out, T Whiteford 83, D Hawks 28. Bowling- Jackson Keane 2/51, Matt Nicholl 1/60, Ash Durie 1/34.
The B Grade lost their second game in a row going down to Rich Avon Services 195 to 143.
Saturday 21st the B Grade traveled to Birchip and batting first were 7/177 after their overs, Stuart Foord 53, John Durie 39, Tait Nicholls 29, Dennis Baker 24.
In reply Birchip were all out for 57. Bowling- John Durie 3/18, Brian Allan 3/15, Stuart Foord 2/5, Tait Nicholls 1/2, Eddie McNicol 1/0.
The Finals start next week- The A Grade play St Mary's at Birchip and the B Grade play A.N.A.-Boolite at Hopetoun. Good Luck.


Brock Bish hits a boundry, with a few players missing from the A Grade, Brock helped out for the afternoon after playing junior cricket in the morning and remained not out 10.

A GRADE ROUND 13 vs St MARYS 14-15th Feburary & B GRADE ROUND 14

The weekend started well with the Juniors remaining unbeaten playing at Wycheproof
The A Grade played  St Marys at Wycheproof  over 2 days, batted first and were all out for 51, in reply St Marys made 233
Wyche batting again were 3/78 at stumps
The B Grade played A.N.A. Boolite at Boolight on Saturday, batting first were 6/183 after 40 overs
in reply A.N.A. Boolite were 6/159 at the end of their overs.
On Sunday the B Grade played St Marys at Warracknabeal, St Marys batting first were 9/170
in reply Wyche were 7/157.

ROUND 12 vs CHARLTON 24th January

The A Grade are playing a two day game at Charlton,Batting first, Charlton were all out for 250 & in the B Grade playing at Wycheproof, Charlton batting first were 8/110 after 40 overs and in reply WycheNarraport made 3/115 from 18 overs.
Day 2 of the A Grade was ( I wish I could say)  washed out but all cricket was called off because of the heat 47 deg or 117 in the old days
ROUND 13 in A GRADE & ROUND 14 in B GRADE 7th FEB  As all games were called off due to the heat, play will be on both Saturday & Sunday 14th & 15th Feb.
The A Grade will play a 2 day game against St Mary's & the B Grade will play 2 one day games.

ROUND 11 17th JANUARY 09 vs BEULAH HOPETOUN

The A Grade played at  Hopetoun in a sand pit, Wyche Narraport batting first made 134, then got the home side out for 88.  Boe Bish carried his bat for 44 not out.    The B Grade did not play because Beulah could not get a side.

ROUND 10 JANUARY 10th 2009

By mutual consent Wycheproof Narraport and Jeffcott B Grade played their round 10 match on Saturday 20th December with Wyche Narraport winning in a tight game, full details in scoreboard

The A Grade had a big win against Jeffcott at Wycheproof, Batting first made 274 and bowling Jeffcott out for 78

CURRIE CUP

The Annual Currie Cup was held on Saturday afternoon/evening 27th December,

The match between Wycheproof and Narraport old players with a few young ones helping out

Above the Narraport side and below the Wycheproof side

The match played in memory of  John Currie, a Narraport legend,

His daughter Jill presenting Wycheproof Captain Nick Coles with the Tin Dish Cup.

Ricky Allan presented with the man of the match award.      

ROUND 9 13th DECEMBER

Again the juniors started the day with a win against the Bushrangers at Donald, The B Grade playing Birchip at Wycheproof had a big win with John Durie making 93 and Stuart Foord 78. The A Grade let the side down by being beaten by Birchip at Birchip.

ROUND 7 29th NOVEMBER

Another three wins for the boys starting with the Warriors playing at Wycheproof, The A Grade also playing at Wycheproof had a modest score to make but made hard work of of reaching 91 to win, a good partnership between Matt Nicholls & Peter Coles got them over the line, the B Grade had a good win at Donald with Dennis Baker making 61.All results in the scoreboard.

ROUND 6 22nd NOVEMBER

A GRADE played Marnoo at Marnoo for a win with Jackson Keane making 117, the B Grade played Hopetoun at Wycheproof also having a good win and to make it a good day the Warriors also beating second side Redbacks at Donald, full details in the scoreboards.

NOVEMBER 15TH ROUND 5

Round 5 saw Wyche Narraport play Rich Avon, the A grade away and B Grade at Wycheproof.
In the A Grade Rich Avon batted first and were all out for 101, in reply W/N passed their score with 5 wickets down.
The B Grade returned to the winning list bowling  the opposition out for 71 and passing the score with the loss of 1 wicket.
The Juniors remain undefeated after 4 rounds,playing the Bushrangers
Batting first the Warriors made 85 with the Bushrangers restricted to 51.

NOVEMBER 8TH ROUNDS 3 AND 4

Both games at Wycheproof were washed out with the only games played were the juniors at Donald who won their 3rd game and the B Grade at Charlton on Sunday who came back to earth with a thud. Details in the scorboard

JUNIOR CRICKET

On Saturday morning junior cricket is conducted between four Donald sides and one Wyche side.
 8 a side and this year all will be one day games with 22 overs each.
And the boys have started well winning their first two games.

25th OOCTOBER ROUND 2

The Cricket Club had a good day with the A Grade, B Grade and Juniors all having a win
Johno Grylls continued his good form with 70 runs  and with Matt Nicholl 29 had a 83 run opening partnership setting up a good win in the A Grade

MILO CRICKET STARTS

On Saturday morning Milo cricket started with Boe Bish giving  the young boys some tips in batting

2008 - 2009 SEASON BEGINS

The club has held its annual meeting and it all stays the same, John Durie (President), Grant Allan (Secretary) and Mel Waters (Treasurer), The first training is on September 18th and the first game is on October 12th

The season got under way on Sunday 12th playing Jeffcott with both sides winning .Details in 2008-09 Results

The Presentation of trophy's & Club Wind Up was held at the Terminus Hotel on Thursday 20th March, Bo Bish taking out the cricketer of the year, more details when they are provided

Wyche batted first & were all out for 294 & at stumps on the second day Rich Avon-Services were 5/70 resuming on Saturday were all out with the addition of 27 more runs  Wycheproof Narraport B Grade Premiers for 2007/08.
